The Celtic Trinity Knot, or otherwise known as the Triquetra, derives from its Latin origins meaning "three-cornered".
There are many schools of thought when discussing the meaning of the Celtic Trinity Knot, however all of the various interpretations agree on a culmination of three parts, which is often used to represent people or concepts in groups of three.
The Triquetra to many symbolizes life, death, and rebirth and the three forces of nature:earth, air and water. To others , the three corners represent mind, body and spirit.
The early Christian understanding views the interlocking symbol as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Whereas , a more pagan belief is that the Triquetra symbolizes the triple aspected goddess: maiden, mother, and crone.
As your counsellor, all aspects that make up a persons being are considered, with the three triangles of the Triquetra representing the interconnection between the mind, body and soul. The ring, unifying the triangles as one, symbolically represent the makeup of the whole person.
